Jan Luncheon – Another Great Success! 

We had a great kickoff to 2019 with retired Col. Danny KcKnight, best known for being portrayed in the movie "Black Hawk Down." Col. McKnight spoke on  successful leadership and commitment and his real world experience of October 1993 in Mogadishu, Somalia as Commander of the 75th Ranger Regiment. This luncheon event drew well over 100 members and guests!

Pictures from SAME / SMSA Golf Tournament

We had a beautiful day for golf on Monday the 28th, following a weekend filled with 2 inches of rain in areas of North Florida. They day was mostly sunny with a chill in the air, and while the golf course was a bit soggy and the greens were fast, the company was excellent. Additionally, we had no reported broken windows or property damage from the residents of the Jacksonville Golf and Country Club due to stay drives.

This event helped raise a lot of great money in support of the SeaBee Memorial Scholarship in addition to helping support SAME JAX Post's College Scholarships. 

Upcoming Feb Luncheon Details

On February 20, 2019 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the River City Brewing Company, we will be welcoming Caren Anders, Vice President and General Manager of JEA.  Caren has lead responsibility for producing and delivering energy to JEA's 485,000 electric customers in a safe, reliable and cost-competitive manner, and in full compliance with regulatory objectives. In this role, she and her team are responsible for planning, constructing, operating and maintaining JEA’s electric system, including generation plants and transmission, substation and distribution systems.
